I call this a peek-a-boo card. I cut two windows in the top of the card so you can see some of the gel pen artwork that is on the inside. The easiest way I found to create this type of card is to first use the cricut & Amy Chomas gel pens to write a sentiment on background paper. Then you can trim your paper to the size needed for the card. This way you can trim around the writing and be sure your writing will be centered. Then I measured where I needed the holes to be and cut the top of the card. I used cute paper frames to surround the cuts on the outside. To finish off the outside I added a Quick Quotes PVC frosted dragonfly that I covered in Diamond Stickles. The ribbon was originally white but I inked it in a coordinating color (Purple passion) to match my papers.
Items used:
Quick Quotes “Julie Je t’aime” papers
Quick Quotes ‘Purple Passion’ chalking ink
Amy Chomas glitter gel pens & gel pen holder for the cricut (featured here in dark purple)
Cricut cartridges: Stamping & Mini Monograms
Beautiful- love the colors together and they peek-a-boo style is great! :)Amy
